Why Korean food? Because its intense flavors, bountiful vegetables and everyone-friendly barbecue is delicious, healthy and worth seeking out.
Marja Vongerichten, Korean-cooking expert and host of The Kimchi Chronicles on public television, is the perfect guide to a Korean-barbecue-restaurant experience. She shows the kids how and what to order, how to use chopsticks and roll up ssams, and introduces them to lots of new dishes. Marja's daughter, Chloe, joins the group for dinner.
Back in the kitchen, Marja shows the kids how to make bibimbap and how to prepare Korean “sushi” rolls (gimbap) featuring ham and cheese!
